Having been a part of the Rice campus in one form or another for 15 years, Rice Program Council remains an essential organization catering to the students needs for both entertainment and other services.
Rice Program Council’s goal is to provide the Rice undergraduate community with numerous campus-wide social events throughout the year. RPC is most known for our formal dance in the fall semester, Esperanza, but our most popular event by far is Beer Bike.
Traditionally, our major fall events include: Screw-Yer-Roommate, Homecoming Tailgate, Esperanza, and the President’s Fall Study Break. Our spring events include: Crush Party, Rondelet, Assassins/H2O07, Willy Week and Beer Bike.
RPC is not only responsible for social events, but our Passport to Houston Committee also provides subsidized tickets to various events around Houston to the Rice community. In conjunction with the Rice Passport program, we usually subsidize ten events each semester. Regular events include the Renaissance Fair, the Nutcracker and the Rodeo.
