Hey y'all,

The traditions committee is responsible for most of the events that happen annually on campus and are large traditions in the Rice Community.

In the fall, we have newly started to co-sponsor the activities fair, host a variety of Homecoming events (including working with the Concerts Committee to have a concert), and we plan the winter President and Dean's Study Break. This year Homecoming will include the comedian Eddie Ifft, Esperanza, the football game against Tulane, and a concert by Augustana and the Wild Moccasins. The theme for the winter study break will be Lu-Owl, or Hawaiian, and will take place on December 6th from 9pm-11pm in the Rice Memorial Center, Brochstein Pavillion, and potentially the new Rec Center

In the spring, our focus is on Willy Week. We sponsor Beer Debates, International Beer Night, Willy's Picnic, and work with Concerts once again to bring in artists for a kick-off concert! If you have any suggestions for a theme for Willy Week, feel free to email me!
